While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

Massacre following US strike on African migrant jail in Yemen

Monday 28-April-2025

SANA’A, (PIC)

At least 70 civilians have been massacred in a US airstrike on a detention center for African migrants in the northwest of Yemen, Al-Masirah satellite channel reported on Monday.

Al-Masirah, which belongs to Yemen’s Ansarullah ('Houthi) group, also reported that 47 other African migrants were injured, most of them critically, when the center in Sa'ada province was bombed.

The channel posted graphic footage showing multiple bodies in the rubble of a destroyed building.

There was no immediate comment from the US army about its deadly strike, but it came hours after US central command claimed that its forces had hit more than 800 targets since president Donald Trump ordered the launch of intensive attacks against the Ansarullah group on 15 March.

The US central command also claimed that the strikes had “killed hundreds of 'Houthi fighters and numerous 'Houthi leaders.”

However, the armed forces in northern Yemen, which are controlled by the Ansarullah or 'Houthi group, affirmed the US strikes had killed dozens of civilians, and reported few casualties among its members.

Renewed US airstrikes target different areas of northern Yemen

Monday 28-April-2025

SANA’A, (PIC)

Yemeni media reported on Sunday evening that the US army carried out seven airstrikes on different areas of northern Yemen, without mentioning any casualties.

On its Telegram page, Al-Masirah satellite channel said that the renewed Israeli strikes focused on Sa'ada governorate, located northwest of the capital Sana’a.

Multiple US airstrikes also targeted Thaqban area in Bani al-Harith near Sana’a and two different areas of 'Amran governorate.

Since March 15, the US army has carried out about 1,000 deadly strikes on different areas of northern Yemen. The attacks reportedly claimed the lives of 217 civilians and injured 436 others.

ICJ holds public hearings to address Israel’s obligations toward UN agencies in Palestine

THE HAGUE, April 28, 2025 (WAFA) –

The International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague, Netherlands, began public hearings on Monday regarding an advisory opinion on Israel's obligations toward the United Nations and its agencies in the occupied Palestinian territories.

Elinor Hammarskjöld, legal advisor representing UN Secretary-General António Guterres, confirmed that Israel has obligations as an occupying power, including ensuring the safety of medical workers and facilitating the work of humanitarian organizations to safeguard civilian lives.

In her statement before the court, she emphasized that, as an occupying power, Israel is required to secure humanitarian needs in the occupied territories and manage the areas under its control according to international law.

Hammarskjöld also stated that Israel had breached its obligations regarding the immunity of UN personnel and reaffirmed the organization's position against any external interference in the functioning of international agencies.

The suspension of UNRWA operations by Israel was described as an overreach of authority that potentially signals a unilateral extension of sovereignty over occupied Palestinian land, including East Jerusalem. This action, the UN argued, contravenes Israel’s international commitments and impedes vital humanitarian efforts.

Furthermore, she affirmed that respecting international law is essential for protecting civilians and allowing UN staff to carry out their work without facing unacceptable risks.

In response to Israel's claims against UNRWA, she stated that the UN takes allegations of bias within its agencies seriously, and necessary investigations will be carried out to address the concerns and ensure their neutrality.

In its pleadings, Palestinian Ambassador to the Netherlands 'Ammar 'Hijazi, stated that the Palestinian people are being subjected to starvation, bombing, and forced displacement by Israel, the occupying power. He pointed out that Israel has been preventing the entry of food, water, medicine, medical supplies, and fuel into the Gaza Strip for the past two months, a policy supported by Israel’s highest court, which rejected multiple appeals to allow aid into Gaza.

He stressed that this man-made disaster targets life itself, with death threatening the lives of Palestinians, including due to hunger, which has already claimed the lives of 59 children.

He continued, "We are here because the General Assembly asked the Court to determine Israel’s legal obligations concerning the provision of humanitarian aid by the United Nations, international organizations, and third-party states – aid essential for the survival of Palestinian civilians – as well as regarding the exercise of the Palestinian people's right to self-determination.”

He further explained that this request comes in response to international outrage over Israel’s systematic targeting, banning, and obstruction of these entities, including its enactment of legislation preventing UNRWA from carrying out its mandate in the occupied Palestinian territories, including East Jerusalem.

Hijazi clarified that Palestine will present evidence during these proceedings on the immediate, medium-term, and long-term destructive consequences of Israel’s illegal policy on the Palestinian people, impacting every aspect of their fundamental rights and their continued existence.

He also noted that Palestine would demonstrate to the Court how Israel's prohibited actions extend to the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, as the goal of these actions, as acknowledged by senior Israeli leaders, is the permanent annexation of Palestinian land and the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians.

He explained that Palestine would argue that Israel's actions constitute flagrant and persistent violations of its obligations, including the right to self-determination, the prohibition of forced displacement, the prohibition of using starvation as a method of warfare, and the protection of UN personnel and other humanitarian organizations.

Hijazi added that the Palestinian delegation will request the Court to issue an advisory opinion that clearly states that Israel’s occupation of the occupied Palestinian territories, including East Jerusalem, is illegal and must end immediately; that Israel's actions in preventing humanitarian aid, and obstructing the work of the United Nations and other humanitarian organizations, violate its obligations under international law; that all states must refrain from supporting or assisting the illegal occupation and take effective measures to ensure its ending; and that the United Nations and other international organizations must continue their humanitarian work and fulfill their responsibilities in accordance with international law, despite Israeli obstruction.

According to the Court's agenda, the hearings are scheduled to take place from April 28 to May 2, 2025. Forty-four countries and four international organizations have expressed their intention to participate in the proceedings before the Court.

This move follows a decision adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in December of last year, based on a proposal by Norway. The resolution calls on the International Court of Justice to issue an advisory opinion clarifying Israel's obligations regarding the facilitation of urgent humanitarian aid to Palestinians and ensuring that such assistance is not hindered.

Civil Defense in southern Gaza announces fuel shortage and suspension of most vehicles

Monday 28-April-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The Civil Defense in Gaza announced on Monday evening that fuel supplies for operating its firefighting, rescue, and ambulance vehicles in the southern governorates of the Gaza Strip have been exhausted, resulting in the suspension of 8 out of 12 vehicles.

The Civil Defense warned that its humanitarian interventions and responses to citizens’ distress calls in these governorates would now be severely limited, with only four vehicles remaining operational. This situation poses a serious threat to the lives of hundreds of thousands of civilians and displaced persons in shelter centers.

The Civil Defense held the Israeli occupation fully responsible for the worsening humanitarian crisis facing the people of Gaza due to the continuation of its war and the ongoing blockade.

It also renewed its appeal to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) and international organizations to act immediately to open Gaza’s crossings, allowing the entry of fuel and supplies necessary for humanitarian agencies and institutions to continue their work.

The Israeli occupation had resumed its intensive aggression and tightened the blockade on the Gaza Strip at dawn on 18 March 2025, following a two-month pause under a ceasefire agreement that came into effect on 19 January. However, Israel systematically violated the terms of the ceasefire throughout the truce period.

Since 7 October 2023, with direct support from the United States and European countries, the occupation forces have been committing acts of genocide in Gaza, resulting in approximately 170,000 Palestinians killed or wounded, the majority of whom are women and children, alongside more than 14,000 missing persons.

GAZA, (PIC)

The Israeli occupation army continued last night and on Monday to carry out deadly attacks on different areas of the Gaza Strip, killing and injuring dozens of civilians.

Israeli occupation forces continue aggression on Toulkarm for the 92nd consecutive day

Toulkarm, April 28, 2025 (WAFA) –

The Israeli occupation forces continue their aggression on the city of Toulkarm and its camp for the 92nd consecutive day, and on the 79th day on the Nour Shams camp, amid ongoing field escalation.

WAFA correspondent reported that the occupation forces continue to send military reinforcements, including vehicles and infantry units, to the city, its two camps, and its suburbs. This is accompanied by heavy firing of live ammunition and sound bombs, as well as raids and searches of homes and shops, vandalizing their contents, and subjecting those inside to interrogation, detention, or arrest.

This morning, the occupation forces deployed around the Shuwaika roundabout in the northern neighborhood of the city, carrying out raids and searches in the area, detaining Bilal 'Abdul' Azeez Nayfa and Ayman Abu Simri after raiding Al-'Hafi building there.

In a related development, Israeli special forces stormed the Artah suburb south of the city at dawn today, positioning themselves near the Fatima Al-Zahraa Mosque. They launched a drone into the airspace, accompanied by heavy gunfire. No detentions or injuries were reported.

Israeli forces set up checkpoints on the city's main streets and neighborhoods, obstructing the movement of citizens and their vehicles, particularly on Nablus Street. They subject residents to searches, identity checks, and field interrogations.

The Toulkarm and Nour Shams refugee camps and their surrounding areas are seeing a heavy deployment of Israeli forces, amidst the firing of live ammunition and sound bombs, with occasional explosions. This coincides with a tight siege imposed on these camps, the closure of their entrances with earth mounds, and the subsequent raids and vandalism of homes, forcing the remaining residents to evacuate their homes at gunpoint.

The occupation forces also continue to seize homes and residential buildings on Nablus Street and the adjacent northern neighborhood, converting them into military barracks after forcibly evacuating their residents. They also station their vehicles and bulldozers in the vicinity.

The ongoing Israeli aggression and escalation on the city of Toulkarm and its two refugee camps has resulted in the killing of 13 citizens, including a child and two women, one of whom was eight months pregnant. Dozens have also been injured and detained.

It has also resulted in the forced displacement of more than 4,200 families from the Toulkarm and Nour Shams refugee camps, comprising more than 25,000 residents, along with hundreds of citizens from the northern and eastern neighborhoods of the city. Their homes have been seized and several converted into military barracks.

The aggression caused widespread destruction to the infrastructure, including homes, shops, and vehicles, which were completely and partially demolished, burned, vandalized, looted, and stolen. The occupation forces completely destroyed 396 homes and partially destroyed 2,573 others in the Toulkarm and Nour Shams refugee camps, in addition to closing their entrances and alleys with earth mounds.

Dozens of the illegal Israeli settlers defile Al-Aqsa Mosque under police guard

Monday 28-April-2025

Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), (PIC)

Scores of the illegal Israeli settlers desecrated Al-Aqsa Mosque in Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem) on Monday morning and later in the afternoon, amid tight restrictions on the entry of Muslim worshipers to the holy site.

According to local sources, dozens of settlers entered the Mosque through its Maghariba Gate and provocatively toured its courtyards under police protection.

During their tours at the Islamic holy site, the settlers received lectures from rabbis about the alleged temple mount and a number of them provocatively performed provocative dances and Talmudic prayers.

Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation police imposed movement and entry restrictions on Muslim worshipers at Al-Aqsa Mosque’s entrances and gates and prevented many of them from entering the holy site.

In a move seen as “provocative” to Palestinians, the Israeli occupation authority has placed Israeli flags across the streets of Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem) and the Old City as part of preparations to mark what is called “independence day.”

Jewish temple groups also announced their intent to hoist the Israeli flag inside Al-Aqsa Mosque compound on May 1st to celebrate the occasion.

Illegal Israeli settlers enclose water springs with concrete blocks in northern Jordan Valley

JORDAN VALLEY, April 28, 2025 (WAFA) –

A group of the illegal Israeli settlers placed concrete blocks on Monday around several water springs in the Khirbet Al-Dair area of the northern Jordan Valley.

Omar Fuqaha, head of Al-'Ain Al-Baydha village council, reported that the colonists had installed the concrete blocks around certain springs, marking another effort to assert control over these water resources and restrict Palestinian access.

The illegal Israeli settlers have been targeting the springs scattered across the border area, which Palestinians have traditionally used to irrigate their rain-fed crops every year.

According to the Israeli information center for human rights in occupied territories, B’Tselem, Israel has instituted in this area a regime that intensively exploits its resources, to an extent greater than elsewhere in the West Bank, and which demonstrates its intention: de facto annexation of the Jordan Valley and the northern Dead Sea area to the State of Israel.

The illegal Israeli settler and extremist Minister, Ben-Gvir orders closure of Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem) fund and endowment offices

Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), April 28, 2025 (WAFA) –

The illegal Israeli settler and extremist Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben-Gvir, issued an order on Monday to shut down the offices of the Jerusalem Fund and Endowment in East Jerusalem, in a blatant violation of international laws and norms and, marking another aggressive measure targeting the Palestinian presence in the occupied city.

The Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem) Governorate condemned the move, stating it falls within the framework of a systematic campaign by the Israeli government aimed at drying up the sources of Palestinian civil society work and confiscating any initiative that supports and empowers the residents of Jerusalem economically and socially.

The Governorate further asserted that Ben-Gvir—well-known for his extremist and racist positions—has once again committed a political crime that underscores the occupation’s accelerating policy of unprecedented escalation. This policy, it warned, seeks to strangle Palestinian life in Jerusalem and undermine the resilience of its residents.

Israeli occupation forces erected barbed wire fence to separate Ramallah-area towns from main road

RAMALLAH, April 28, 2025, WAFA –

On Monday, the Israeli occupation began erecting a barbed wire fence separating the towns of Sinjil and Turmus 'Ayya, north of Ramallah, from the main road connecting the cities of Nablus and Ramallah.

Local sources reported that the occupation began erecting 4-meter-long iron poles on the lands of Sinjil, in preparation for the construction of a barbed wire fence extending approximately two kilometers along the main road, which it calls "Road 60."

This comes after bulldozing Palestinian lands in the area in recent months.

On August 20, the Israeli occupation issued a "military order" ordering the seizure of new lands to reroute the planned barbed wire fence along the towns of Turmus 'Ayya and Sinjil, north of Ramallah.

Last February, the occupation notified the seizure of 29 dunams of land from the two towns to build the fence, which prevents citizens from accessing the main road and, consequently, depriving them of access to their lands behind the fence.

Israeli authorities issue demolition notices against several structures in Slafit, Bethlehem

RAMALLAH, April 28, 2025 (WAFA) –

Israeli occupation authorities delivered notices to remove a fence and uproot olive trees in the Wadi Qana area of the town of Dair Istya, northwest of Salfeet.

Anti-settlement activist Nazmi Salman said that the occupation authorities delivered notices to evacuate and stop work, remove a 100-meter fence, and uproot 12 olive trees in the Wadi Qana area west of the town, under the pretext that it is a nature reserve.

He pointed out that the Wadi Qana area is targeted by the occupation and colonists, who are allowed to establish and expand colonies at the expense of citizens' land, while the landowners are prevented from working there.

He further noted that the Wadi Qana area, which covers an area of more than 10,000 dunams, was designated a nature reserve by the occupation in 1983. It is surrounded by nine illegal outposts and an Israeli army camp.

In a related context, the Israeli occupation forces issued a demolition notice against a car wash in the village of 'Husan, west of Bethlehem, on the pretext that it was without a license.

ICRC: Gaza is witnessing widespread death, hunger, disappearances and deprivation

Monday 28-April-2025

DOHA, (PIC)

The Director-General of the International Committee of the Red Cross, Pierre Krähenbühl, said on Monday, “a new inferno has been unleashed on Gaza following the restart of war in the Palestinian territory.”

“Gaza is experiencing and enduring death, injury, multiple displacements, amputations, separation, disappearance, starvation and denial of aid and dignity on a massive scale,” he added.

In his speech at the Global Security Forum in the Qatari capital, Doha, Krähenbühl said, “just when the important ceasefire on January 19 led people to believe they had survived the worst, a new inferno was unleashed.”

On March 18, Israel reneged on the ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement in place since January 19 and resumed its war of genocide against the Gaza Strip, despite Hamas’s commitment to all terms of the agreement.

Warnings have recently escalated from international aid officials over a new imminent disaster in the Strip, which is suffering from a shortage of basic foodstuffs, medical supplies, and humanitarian aid amid the war and the closure of crossings.

The Gaza Strip, whose population is about 2.4 million, is almost entirely dependent on humanitarian aid, which has been completely halted since March 2, when Israel closed the Karm Abu Salim, Zikim and Bait 'Hanoun crossings.

With unconditional US support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, leaving around 169,000 Palestinians martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 11,000 missing.

Euro-Med: At least 94% of those killed in Gaza last week were civilians

Monday 28-April-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor announced that Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) killed 345 Palestinians and wounded 770 others in just seven days (April 20-26), emphasizing that at least 94% of the victims were civilians.

The Euro-Med Monitor said in a press statement on Monday that 51% of the victims during that period were children, 16% of them were women and 8% of them were elderly. Field verification also showed that at least 63 of the 81 adult male victims were working in civilian jobs or independent professions unrelated to any military or organizational activity, further confirming the predominantly civilian nature of this group.

The Euro-Med confirmed that there is no reliable information indicating that the adult male victims, for whom no detailed data is available, were involved in combat or linked to military activities.

The Human rights group stressed that this unprecedented rise in the number of civilian casualties coincides with the continued issuance of false media statements by the Prime Minister of the occupation, Benjamin Netanyahu, in which he publicly denies targeting civilians, in a blatant attempt to mislead international public opinion and cover up the crimes committed on the ground.

The Euro-Med pointed to the IOF’s deliberate use of drones to target children, women and unarmed civilians, and the deliberate targeting of temporary shelters and displacement tents with heavy missiles or suicide drones.

It noted that the recent Israeli investigations on some of the IOF crimes lack independence and seriousness and do not exempt it from its obligations under international law.

The Euro-Med condemned the international silence towards the mass killings of Palestinians, considering it a moral failure and a serious breach of the legal obligations of states and international community, as well as a clear failure to comply with the legal obligation to prevent the crime of genocide and punish its perpetrators in accordance with the provisions of the 1948 Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide.

Israel has "obligations as an occupying power," such as protecting medical personnel and facilitating their work: United Nations

RAMALLAH, April 28, 2025 (WAFA) –

The United Nations affirmed Monday that Israel has "obligations as an occupying power," such as protecting medical personnel and facilitating the work of humanitarian organizations in the occupied territories, thus saving civilian lives.

This came in a speech delivered by Eleanor Hummeschul, representative of UN Secretary-General António Guterres, at the start of a week-long hearing at the International Court of Justice to discuss Israel's humanitarian obligations towards the Palestinians after it imposed a blockade on aid to Gaza since March 2.

Hummeschul said, "Israel has obligations as an occupying power, such as protecting medical personnel and facilitating the work of humanitarian organizations in the occupied territories."

She continued, "Israel, as an occupying power, must ensure humanitarian needs in the occupied territories and administer the territory under its control in accordance with international law."

The UN representative accused Israel of "violating its obligations regarding the immunity of UN teams" and affirmed that "the United Nations rejects any interference by any state in the work of international organizations."

She warned that "the decision to ban UNRWA operations constitutes an expansion of Israeli sovereignty over the Palestinian territories, including East Jerusalem."

Hommeshul emphasized that "respect for international law is essential to protect civilians and enable UN personnel to rescue them without facing unacceptable risks."

She responded to Israel's allegations against the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) by saying, "We take seriously the allegations of a lack of neutrality by a number of UN agencies, and the necessary investigations will be conducted to address them and ensure their impartiality."

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the
land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verbs "abduct" and "kidnap" than the verbs "detain" and "arrest," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.
